SPED Overview Training
This free training will provide the legal and statutory foundations that make up modern special education law, explain the process for seeking assessment and evaluations, go into detail about the contents and process for putting an IEP in place, explain processes of dispute resolution and how to be a good peer or family advocate.
In module 1 you will learn the history and legal foundations of special education.
In module 2 you will learn about evaluating a student for special education eligibility.
In module 3 you will learn about Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
In module 4 you will get more information about how to use what you have learned to advocate for a special education student.
